The Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Diploma Wing was started functioning from 21.03.09 after getting Rupees Eight Lakhs as financial assistance from AICTE, New Delhi. The main objectives of the Entrepreneurship Development Cell are as follows:-
1. To develop management personnel at appropriate levels for the non-corporate and unorganized sectors like education, rural development, small-scale industry etc.
2. To utilize the infrastructure facilities and technically trained manpower for the development of non-corporate and unorganized sectors.
3. To promote employment opportunities.
4. To create an environment for self-employment and entrepreneurship development through formal and non-formal programmes.
5. Need for promotion of entrepreneurship and small business to develop creative idea among the young engineers.
In the meantime the above Cell has organized the following programmes.
• An Entrepreneurship Awareness programme for three days, where 80 participants were attended the same.
• A Faculty Development Programme was organized in the Institute for three days, where 23 faculty members were participated.
• A Skill Development Programme on “Data Entry Operator & Desktop Management Skill” was organized in the Institute for three months, 134 students were participated in this course.
