DRIEMS strongly believes in helping the ‘Have-nots’ of the society. It is well aware and conscious of its social responsibilities in this regard. A number of Community Development programs run round the year with active participation of Students, Faculty members and the staff with the concurrence of the state administration. Some of the schemes undertaken by the institute are:
 • Adoption of a backward village for the upliftment of the education, health and community life style of the residents of     the village,

 • Distribution of books to poor and meritorious students of a near-by school,

 • Mobile Computer Literacy Awareness Programs for teachers and students of various schools,

 • Creating awareness amongst the rural populace about energy savings and usage of non-conventional and renewable     energy sources,

 • Tree plantation,

 • Welding practice to village youths.

 • Sponsoring and organizing Sports and tournaments on various games for the loyal youths, etc.

Needless to mention, the joint efforts of the Students, Faculty members and Staff and the avowed dedicated support of the Management of DRIEMS are the prime movers for astounding success of such Community Development Programs.
